Forbes List- 5 Arizona Men Retain Spots.
Five Arizona men were among the more than 1,200 global billionaires listed on Forbes magazine's annual roster of the world's richest people.
While there was some movement in the rankings due to adjustments in net worth, those that made the list from Arizona were the same men featured among the 1,100 billionaires on the 2010 list.
Discount Tire founder Bruce Halle, 80, worth an estimated $3 billion.
Campbell Soup heir Bennett Dorrance, 65, at $2 billion.
University of Phoenix founder John Sperling, 90, with a net worth of $1.1 billion.
Sperling's son, Peter, 51, also with $1.1 billion.
Los Angeles Angels owner Arturo Moreno, 64, worth an estimated $1 billion.
Halle, who made the list for the first time last year, saw his net worth grow by $1 billion over the year as his business expanded and prospered.
John Sperling was worth $200 million less in 2011 than in 2010, and Peter Sperling was down about $100 million, as shares in University of Phoenix parent Apollo Group Inc. sagged.
The net worth of Dorrance and Moreno remained unchanged.
