The Netherlands- the worst team in this world cup after Kenya- Oranje - Holland- Pot-Hookers… Museums… yeah, you’ve got it all at home, but guess what? IT DOESN’T MATTER AT THE WORLD CUP! This is a battlefield. Its no place for hippie amateurs to come and practice their skills against incompetent teams like England. 292 might sound impressive until you realize that England has conceded that many on average.
In fact, take that 292 out and the Netherlands have only score 238 more in their next couple of matches. Thats an average of 119 per match against real sides. Oh no, Achettup… what’s that sound… puh puh puh puh puh puh puh PUR P-R-E-D-I-C-T-I-O-N TIME!!! After their match against India, the Netherlands will have an even lower net run rate! Great mother of God, that was a hard one!
This game is funny. The Dutch are funny, apart from football, hockey, chicks, pot, museums and maybe a few other things. Blood diamonds maybe. Anyway, thats inconsequential. There is no place for laughter in the middle of a campaign. We have dominated three sides, and we must continue to dominate. The slightest distraction, the thinnest shred of sympathy, the tiniest bit of complacency and the army’s focus will be lost. The people of the Nether world are great fun, but we have a goal. Destiny has shown us a path. And we must stick to it.
But its time to give Chawla a rest. The kid can’t keep doing well against associates like England. And then struggle against better sides from Europe. This is a task for Ashwin. But ZaK and Munaf will probably reduce the Dutch to nothing before he gets a chance to bowl. And that Teri Ma Ki fuckwit will see it as a great chance to improve his average. Its all ok. In the end, its only locomotive-like-momentum that counts. There are only two teams that have not lost a game in this world cup. And we’re one of them. And its going to stay that way. But its going to get better. Because thats what we are. Better.
